We have prepared an "Individual Client Checklist" for our clients. This list includes items that we might need to assist us in preparing your 2015/16 income tax return.

ATO No Longer Issuing Refund Cheques

As of 1 July 2013, the tax office will no longer be issuing refund cheques and instead will be making electronic deposits of any refund. For this reason, we are required to have a BSB and Account number for any client receiving a refund. Please contact our office to update these details or bring them along when you drop off your records.

ATO Fraud Alert

Each year, we see an increasing number of ATO alerts in relation to fraudulent activities and specifically identity fraud. On their advice, from 1 July 2013, all new clients will be required to show proof of their identity (e.g – drivers licence) before being accepted as a client.

Please note that photocopies of identification documents will be kept on file and used for internal purposes only. No personal information is supplied to any external body without direct authority from the client involved.

Superannuation

From 1 July 2014, the compulsory superannuation that you pay for your employees (superannuation guarantee) has risen from 9.25% to 9.5%. For more information contact our office
